This application has been developed as part of the SocialSensor research project co-funded by the EC. It aims to surface newsworthy topics in real-time from multiple social networks and then aggregate content around this topic in an automated way. It draws on publicly available text and multimedia content from networks including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Flickr and Google+.
